I am floored that the post linked below has 1,068 hits as of this evening! Most of my posts range from 10-50 views with only one other breaking the 100 mark. So breaking 1,000 blows me away.

Sermon on Jeremiah 29:11

I love that it is a sermon on the most popular googled Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11. This sermon, titled 'God has a Plan' was originally given when we lived in Spencer, IA and I was filling in for Pastor Ross.

I pray that the 1,068 people who were guided to the post were helped by what they read and I pray that any future readers are also blessed. I know I am blessed by the thought that something I typed and preached may have impacted even a single person.

Sticky Statement: Seek God with all that you have and He will restore you!! Misc: Before I get started this morning, I have a service announcement. Some of us have been using the NIV translation for up to 25 years now. Well Zonderzan, the publisher, is updating the NIV Bible. They are coming out with a 2011 version. I tend to be a fan of reading different Bible versions, but I want to caution everyone. The 1984 version of the NIV is a good Bible, a few years back they came out with the TNIV version which was gender neutral in a lot of places that was not right. My Medical Journey

Hey All, This week is a week of waiting. Last week we found out that I have Acostic Neuroma (AN). This is a tumor growing between the nerves that control hearing, facial function, and balance. For me this is on the left side of the head and has significantly impacted my hearing in my left ear. I do have some very mild symptoms in addition to the hearing loss, but nothing that would have caused me to see the Dr. on their own. For most people this is found when the tumor is 2-4MM, mine is 23 MMs in size. Not uncommon, just that more than 50% of people diagnosed with AN have smaller tumors. For the past week Alexis and I have been doing a LOT of research. Some of it is scary, but some of it is reasuring. Mostly we know that God is in control no matter what. Their are 5 treatment options available for AN. 3 are micro-surgery of the brain and 2 are different radiation programs. Each option has its own set of risks and benefits.
