Sermon Notes - Revelation 21:1-22:5 - New Creation - Littleby Baptist Church - 2/27/2022

  1.      We have spent a lot of time talking about the coming judgement. a.       A lot of good things, like our Lord returning. b.      Our ability to spend forever with Him. c.       But a lot of people suffering forever. d.      Today our focus is on something a bit more positive. 2.      After all of humankind is judged, a new creation is revealed. 3.      Revelation 21:1 a.       Reminds me of 2 Corinthians 5:17. b.      The old has been washed away and the new has come. c.       When we are made new, we are still in this flawed and sinful form until we die. d.      When it comes to the new heaven and new earth that is not the case. e.       They will be completely redeemed! f.       The old will be gone and the new will come! 4.      Revelation 21:2 a.       A New Jerusalem comes down from heaven. b.      A beautiful place an awe-inspiring site, nothing on earth today could compare. 5.      Revelation 21:3-4 a.       Finally, God’s creation, us,

Sermon Notes - Revelation 20:10-15 - Judgement is coming - Littleby Baptist Church - February 20, 2022

  1.      Christ has returned as the Triumphant King! 2.      His reigns for a millennium.   a.       A literal thousand years that Jesus will reign on earth. b.      A kingdom that will run its course before the final judgement. 3.      Then Satan is released from the abyss and starts a revolt. a.       Sadly, a vast number join Satan. b.      They surround our Lord and those who are with Him. c.       Then fire comes from heaven, and they are gone. 4.      Revelation 20:10 a.       Satan is done, just like the antichrist and false prophet. b.      They are thrown into the lake of fire, but they do not die. c.       Their punishment, like our reward, is eternal. 5.      As the thousand years come to an end, as Satan is judged once and for all… a.       Everyone will stand before God and be judged. b.      Some will receive the fruit of the amazing gift they have been given. c.       Others will be cast into the lake of fire to suffer for all of eternity.
